Escaping the maze - My Second Project


Hello guys, I'm Zachariah and wanted to talk about my second game currently in development (hopefully will be finished soon). This project is also built in Unreal Engine 5, however, unlike my first one, this one focuses on unpredictability, tension and more importantly an enemy AI. I designed a maze from scratch where not even the exits are safe. 


My main goal was to explore system designs in a horror setting, focusing on atmosphere random events and replayability to hone my skills in game design.

Core Features:

Maze Level Design:  Built from scratch with randomized paths and exits and eerie atmosphere,

Enemy AI: Built using simple AI behaviors and NavMesh, Enemy spawns at random locations and follow unpredictable paths. This creates replayable encounters and adds suspense.

3D Audio: Added spatial audio for footsteps so that players can feel the enemy approaching.

Exits are random and maybe sometimes the enemy might pull you back into the maze but if you persevere, surely you can escape.

A few adjustments have to made before I can finally release the game. So, if you're into these types of games, be on the lookout since this game will be out soon.
